Dive Round-Up: April

Well the Croydon BSAC dive season has kicked off and throughout April the members have been getting wet. As usual the ‘official’ start to our diving year was the Easter trip to Plymouth. Unfortunately we only managed to get diving on one out of the four days, but we made the best of it with a very nice dive on Hand Deeps in 10m visibility. Our mate Pete Fergus was on good form as usual supplying top lunches and some good banter.

Thankfully the weather improved substantially through the rest of the month and allowed divers from the club to visit our usual haunt of Brighton to explore the Pentrych and City of Brisbane. Brighton Diver and Channel Diver served us well and we were blessed with around 5m of viz in 20m depth and flat calm seas.

Water temperatures are increasing (currently about 9 degrees), so roll on May – fingers crossed for the viz and that the May-rot isn’t too bad!
